Completed her Masters degree in Homeopathy in Durban and graduated in 1994. This involved understanding both allopathic and homeopathic medicines and treatments and included cadavar dissection and diagnostics.

She then completed her internship with Dr Heidi Retter in Cape Town and added a specialisation in Iridology and sound practise management and medicine manufacture skills.

Dr Monika married in 1995 and had her first daughter in 1997, at which time she decided to start her own practice in Pinelands, Cape Town which was very successful.

A second daughter arrived in 1999 and in 2003, Dr Monika and her family relocated to Johannesburg where she opened her current practice in Bryanston. A third child (a boy) joined the family in 2006.

Dr Monika runs a full service practise and treats patients of all ages and all medical complaints. She has a passion for all things related to children and child birth. Her work with numerous midwives ensures that their clients have a smooth and successful pregnancy and labour. To quote Dr Monika, “as a mother of three I also have experience dealing with most childhood complaints and ailments.”
