Laser Hair Removal (IPL)
Intense pulsed light (IPL) travels through the skin until it strikes the hair shafts or the bulb (root) of the hair. The bulb is usually where the highest concentration of melanin is located, as opposed to the rest of the hair shaft.
The intense heat radiated by the hair also destroys the hair-producing papilla. At any one time, not all hair follicles are ‘active’, and only active hair follicles can be affected and destroyed by the treatment. ‘Inactive’ hair follicles can be treated as they become ‘active’ over time. For IPL treatments an average of 8-10 treatments are required to remove most visible hair.
The Lymph Drainage or pressotherapy high pressure massage will help with the weight loss and cellulite reduction since it improves blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, which helps to speed up the toxin and excess fat removal. The pressotherapy lymphatic drainage massage can also smooth the skin and even the cellulite bumps and lumps so that it is less noticeable.
The process begins with an electronic suit that is attached to a computer, then placed securely around each leg and arm.
This suit is then inflated with air and sends light pressure onto each leg. The pressure is designed to simulate a deep massage that uses enough pressure to reach beneath the surface of the skin. You can adjust the strength and frequency of inflation. Each Pressotherapy™ session typically lasts around 30- 60 minutes and is recommended to be repeated weekly for about eight weeks.
The deep skin pressure and stimulation helps to promote proper blood flow. If blood flows properly throughout the body, it is possible to prevent swelling of internal body tissues by ensuring they are exposed to as much oxygen as possible. Receiving enough oxygen may help restore any damaged tissues and make the skin feel tighter and prevent loose or floppy skin.
This pressotherapy machine also utilizes infrared technology. The infrared body wrap heating can dissolve fat and promote the fat metabolism. The infrared also improve the blood circulation and nutrition/oxygen transportation. It is a dry sauna technique. The whole body will feel refreshed and energetic. The infrared technology doesn’t heat up the surface of the body.
Instead, it heats up the inner body that is 4 to 7 cm beneath the skin. This is wonderful because this is where the stubborn fat deposit and main blood vessels are located.
Radiofrequency treatment (RF)
The prospect of treating sagging skin and cellulite without the scalpel, appeals to the majority of patients who are looking for subtle improvements but are not ready for a traditional facelift or surgery.
How does the treatment work?
The skin is made up of two layers, the visible outer layer called the epidermis and the deeper layer called the dermis.
The main structural support of the dermis is provided by the protein called collagen. RF energy differs from laser light energy because RF is able to selectively deliver heat energy much deeper into the dermis (penetrating up to 25mm) whilst protecting the epidermis by cooling. Laser light tends to absorb or scatter in the upper layers of the skin making it difficult to deliver heat energy to the dermis without damaging the epidermis. RF tightens the skin by two separate processes.
Firstly it has an immediate effect by tightening the supportive framework of the skin (by contraction of collagen fibres and tissue retraction) aiding remodelling and rejuvenation.
Secondly, heating the dermis stimulates the body to produce collagen, boosting a healing response. This acts as a new deep foundation for the skin producing further tightening that becomes evident over several months. The combination of these two processes hence provide immediate skin tightening and further long-term tightening effects. RF also facilitates cellulite and fat reduction by improving blood flow to the treated area and promoting the breakdown of fat cells, aiding the re-absorption and drainage of fatty deposits and retained fluids.RF is a safe way of tightening loose skin and improving skin tone.
